Remote Terminal ( RT )
Close to customer premises
Consists of interface cards supporting customer services
Connected directly to the LE or a leased line network
Central Office Terminal ( CT )
Close to LE / IP Backbone
Supports a number of RTs
Performs concentration and grooming of traffic from RTs
Installation usually consists of the following steps
Unpacking the equipment
Cabinet Placement
Installing the MCU (Main Control Unit) and PDP (Power Distribution Panel).
Interconnecting Units
Building Wiring and Connections
Routing FXS cables at MDF frame and kroned.
Routing E1 cable at TX. rack and kroned.
Power Connections - AN2K Equipment
Installing the 3M Modules
